Statement regarding pit bay sales

Notice to NKRC members,

As most of you will be aware, the board has put together a plan to sell a number of sections of the pit bay area to Newcastle Kart Club members for race days on a 12 monthly basis.

While supported by some, this has caused some conjecture between others. The idea itself is not new and has both pro’s and con’s. But in the clarity of hindsight may have been rushed. At this time, it has been decided by the board to shelve the selling of pit bay’s so that it can be investigated further.

Adding to this, the roping off, of sections before a race meet will no longer be permitted. At this stage the only allocated pit bays are those of paying club sponsors. All other pit bays are open to anyone to use on a first in basis.

Please remember that we are all here to do what is best for the club and the sport. The board of NKRC are always open and ready to engage will our members but personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Please bear in mind that board members give their time because of a love for Newcastle Kart Racing Club and yes sometimes decisions will be made that some will not always agree with. Our open board meetings are a great place to voice your ideas and concerns in a respectful manner. Thank you.
