Track Availability and practice direction:

Practice direction is clockwise up to and including the race meeting on Saturday and Sunday the 28th and 29th August 2010.

* The track will be unavailable for practice on Friday 3rd September until 11:30am, practice discount applies.

* The track will be unavailable for practice on Friday 24th September from 1:30pm, practice discount applies.

* The track will be unavailable for practice on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September due to Prokart hiring the facility. Practice on Friday 10th is open to AKA licence holders only BUT will be run under Prokarts Insurance policy.

Prokart are welcoming AKA licence holders that hold the appropriate licence to compete in their Sprint Kart race meeting to be held on Saturday 11th September. Prokart are waiving the need for a Prokart Licence for this day.

* The track will be unavailable for practice on Sunday 26th September due to the NSW Supermotard Club hiring the circuit. Due to being de-affiliated from AKA (NSW) for 24 hours prior to the track hire, practice will also be unavailable on Saturday 25th September.

The Working Bee and OLT scheduled for Saturday 11th September has been moved to Saturday 4th September.

The Committee apologises for the short notice on the above track hires, negotiations between the organisations have taken longer than usual.

As from the Newcastle City Cup, the following link, https://app.austkarting.com.au/aka/results/ , will replace the link to MyLaps.com on the race meeting results page where competitors were able to view the complete race meeting results, times etc. Select NSW in "State" drop down box the "Newcastle Kart Club" in the "Club" drop down box.

The AKA CM:S system will be the ONLY timing system used in the future at NKRC. We were trying to run both Orbits and CM:S at the same time so competitors could still see the race meeting results on MyLaps, this proved very difficult and now that the CM:S results can be uploaded there is no need to use the Orbits timing system.

At the June General Meeting, the club members in attendance came up with the idea of having a "Mentor List" to be given on request to new karters who would like assistance during their early days at the club/track. If you would like to be mentor to new karters, please give your name, contact number and preferred class to the Track Supervisor who will compile a list by class.
