We
have many enquiries from Midget, Rookie and Junior aged prospective
karters for the upcoming "Come & Try" day in February. As
the AKA (NSW) "Come & Try" trailer will be in Dubbo we are
looking for generous members who would be able to lend equipment to the
club for this day. All breakages will be paid for. Please send an email to
nkrc@nkrc.com.au .
The
club is putting together all of the necessary hardware required to hold
"Come & Try" days for those prospective karters who do not
have access to a kart etc. If you would like to donate karting equipment
to the club, send an email to nkrc@nkrc.com.au
.
The
"King Of Sydney" Senior National Over 40's tour is on again in
2010. This was a very popular tour for the more mature driver in the
Sydney basin in 2009. As Oran Park is no longer with us as a kart racing
facility, NKRC has joined the tour and will host the first round in
conjunction with the race meeting to be held on Sunday 21st March 2010.
For
more details contact Iain Thornton from NSKC on 0417-259960.
Want
to race at the CIK race meeting to be held at NKRC on 6th and 7th March
2010 but don't have the budget? The three support classes are Senior
Clubman @ 150kg, Junior National @ 130kg and Restricted TaG 125 @ 170kg's.
This
is your chance to shine in front of some of the best drivers in the
country.
Competitors
must register prior to submitting their entry form. Registration is free
and can be done at www.starsofkarting.com.au.
The
Supplementary Regulations are being finalised at the moment and will be
posted here when approved.
New
licence holders and licence holders who wish to renew their AKA licence
are able to do so at the following web address: http://www.karting.net.au/apply_for_licence.html
. For existing licence holders, your "Identity" number is your licence
number.
There
is a "feature" in the licencing system stopping a licence holder
from renewing their licence within five days of the expiry date or if the
licence has expired. Please ensure you renew your licence online at least
a week before it is due to expire. Please ensure that your club
membership has not expired at the time of renewing your licence
online.
Canteen
volunteers are required for race days and for a few hours on the day prior
to a race day. Please contact the club on 0438-301685 for details.
